Little late at putting some post up.
But our final walk in the lakes took us up the Newlands road out of Buttermere to Newlands Hause cap park, where we headed for Knott rig at 556m. Again the cloud was down and a strong wind so no red pike today. The route up was easy and couple of times were buffet with the wind. At one point it was 40 mph. Once on top we had excellent views north and east and across the valley. From here we carried a long the ridge to Ard crags 581m and then head down the ridge before we turn west to pick up a faint path that led us back along the valley. But first we had to head up the valley along a faint path until we reached the path. This took us a long sail beck back down into Buttmere.
Again it was a good walk we did and as i call it. Thinking outside the box walk. Don’t go and do the classic hills when you in the area. Such as Red pike Robinson haystacks.
The whole weekend was good as all the walks we never done before. They were not big in height, they were.
