Forest Of Bowland Walk

Today took us to Forest of Bowland. This walk we were leading for Stockport walking Outdoors Group which we are members.
Distance was 13 miles but with the mud and water it felt more like  15 mile walk. we started Dunsop bridge and and walked up the track towards Middle Knoll, folllowing a track up onto Whitendale fell. From here it was onto Hard hill Top a long the roman road heading back towards Dunsop Bridge. But the sting in the tail was to slog back up onto Dunsop fell though the very wet bog ground. Very knee deep in places. Then back down to Dunsop Bridge  for tea and cake.
